We perform everything from simple dental cleanings and whitening to full-mouth rehabilitation on patients of all ages. Helping children with their very first dental visit is something we love. Its truly something very special to see your children age through the practice. Shoal Valley Dental is also the perfect practice if its been a while since you’ve been to the dentist. If you have a lot of dental problems, we will approach you empathetically, giving you, the patient, complete information and every option available to you adapted to your unique budget. Top Level Doctors
Both Dr. Wick and Dr. Journée take pride in being defined by the dental work they complete. They are very meticulous but can also compromise given the individual patients needs and desires. Dr. Journée is active in dental leadership being a House Delegate for the Missouri Dental Association. Dr. Journée is active at the national level having served roles with the American Dental Association. He was recognized for his leadership being served with awards for accomplishments during his time on committees. Dr. Wick was accepted to the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s accelerated 6-year dental program directly out of high school in 1997. Only 25 students per year were accepted after meeting very high academic standards. After spending time in dental public health, Dr. Wick started the practice in 2004 and has been working there focusing on patient care and performing high quality restorative procedures.

Shoal Valley Dental meets and exceeds every standard of care for Infection Control and sterilization. We take your concerns for a healthy and sterile dental environment just as seriously as you do. Regular monitoring of sterilization equipment and protocols are everyday events that we take pride in.
